Union City officers interdicted approximately 36 pounds of illegal Marijuana on a traffic stop Tuesday evening. The suspect, Yu Gen Weng of New York had not been issued any license from the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority and was transporting the product outside of the OMMA rules according to a social post by UCPD.
Weng was booked in the Canadian County Detention Center on the charges of Trafficking in Marijuana and Operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. The Canadian County District Attorney's office is reviewing the case and will determine the charges to be filed against Weng.
