Police Officer Shot After Responding To Disturbance In Oklahoma City

The Oklahoma City Police Department has confirmed that one of their officers was shot Wednesday evening after responding to a domestic disturbance in the 2300 block of South Kate Ave near I-35 in SE OKC.

The officer was treated at a local hospital and released. The suspect died from their injuries.

OKCPD released the following statement regarding the incident via Social Mediat:

"Officer Involved Shooting

Around 6pm tonight in the 2300-block of S. Kate one of our officers responded to a disturbance call.

During the response the officer was shot and injured, the suspect was shot by the officer and died as a result.

Investigation is ongoing."
