Oklahoma State Superintendent Joy Hofmeister is calling for the state's ban on mask mandates in schools to be repealed. Hofmeister tells KOCO that she wishes local school districts had the power to decide on the face mask issue. She says she will meet with the governor this week and discuss whether he should declare a state of emergency, which would allow public schools to require masks.
