More than fifteen-hundred people are signing on to an open letter to Moore Public Schools calling for stricter guidelines in the district's reopening plan. The letter signed by teachers, parents, and staff members is urging the school district to delay the start of the school year, and asks for a mask mandate and the option for teachers to work remotely. In a statement, Supreintendent Doctor Robert Romines said the district is taking the input from the educational community seriously, and promised that the health and safety of students, staff, and families is the priority.
