Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt is authorizing the National Guard and Highway Patrol to provide support to police as they deal with violent protests. The governor announced the move yesterday after weekend protests in Oklahoma City escalated into violence and destruction. Stitt says he supports peaceful demonstrations, but he cannot stand for damage to property or violence.
