The shooting at Penn Square Mall in Oklahoma City was an isolated incident. Police say it started as an argument between two people in a shoe store, with one of them pulling out a gun and shooting the other in the chest. Shoppers scrambled as the shooting took place and police converged on the mall. Officers say it was not an active-shooter incident, but an isolated incident between the shooter and the victim. He was described as black male, grey sweatpants, red underwear exposed above pants, no shirt. He was seen fleeing from the area of the Foot Locker store, but it was unknown where he went from there.
The Oklahoma City Thunder basketball team was at the mall watching a private showing of the new movie; "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" at the time of the shooting, but officials say they were not in danger at any time.
