On a unanimous five-to-zero vote, the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals has denied motions from State Attorney General Gentner Drummond in the Richard Glossip case. Drummond had asked for Glossip's conviction to be vacated and the case go back to district court. The Appeals Court also denied Drummond's motion for a stay of execution. That execution date is still set for May 18th. In a statement, Drummond says he's examining the ruling and will consider what steps should be taken from here. Glossip was convicted in 1997 of arranging the murder of his boss, motel owner Barry Van Treese. Drummond filed the motions after finding what he calls several errors connected to the case.
