Lucky Player Wins Lottery Prize For Sixth Time

An Idaho has some insanely good luck.

Bryan Moss, of Meridian, recently won his sixth scratch lottery game big prize and first jackpot, the Idaho Lottery announced in a press release last week.

According to Idaho Lottery, Moss claimed the first $250,000 jackpot on the Idaho Lottery Scratch Game $250,000 Crossword Thursday (January 28) morning.

Moss, who owns the Newko Sport and Nutrition health store in Meridian, said he plays the Idaho Lottery regularly because the money goes toward Idaho schools.

“I’m proud to help support Idaho public schools, that’s really why I play,” Moss said via IdahoLottery.com.

Moss has won lottery prizes five previous times, but his most recent win was his first to claim the jackpot prize. However, his luck hasn't rubbed off on anyone else.

“I’ve tried playing for others,” Ross said in a thread on his Facebook page via ABC News. “It doesn’t work.”

Moss said he purchased his jackpot-winning ticket at the ExtraMile on Eagle Road and Goldstone in Meridian, which will receive a bonus payment of $20,000 from the Idaho Lottery for selling the ticket.

According to the Idaho Lottery, Moss "plans to put his winning aside for his daughter's future education."

The Idaho Lottery said it has "sold over $4.2 billion in products, awarded more than $2.6 billion in prizes to players, returned $249 million in retain commissions and distributed $961.5 million in Lottery dividends to Idaho public schools and buildings" in its press release announcing Moss' jackpot prize win.
