No Education Budget

The Oklahoma legislature failed to meet the April 1 deadline to fund public education. Since the law was implemented in 2004, the deadline has been met only twice. There is no penalty. "We keep saying education is a priority," said House Minority Leader Emily Virgin of Norman. "But our actions show that we still haven't learned to listen to the education community. It is absurd that the legislature hasn't met this deadline."
