Three candidates have filed to run for Oklahoma City mayor, setting the stage for a primary election on February 13th. The three-day filing period ended Wednesday at the Oklahoma County election board. The candidates who filed are David Holt, Randall Smith and Taylor M. Neighbors.
If the winner of the February 13th primary election gets a majority of votes, that candidate will become Oklahoma City's new mayor, who will succeed current Mayor Mick Cornett who is running for Governor. If no candidate receives a majority of votes, then the two candidates with the most votes will face each other in the April 3rd general election.
