The Oklahoma Corporation Commission says it is investigating Friday morning's earthquake activity in the Stroud area. The Oklahoma Geological Survey say two earthquakes struck about 9 a.m. The first was a 4.2 magnitude earthquake followed by a 3.8 magnitude shaker.
The 4.2 magnitude earthquake was the third 4.0 or greater earthquake this year in Oklahoma. That compares to 15 last year and 27 the year before.
