Oklahoma Doctor Charged In Deaths Of Five Patients

An arrest warrant has been issued for a doctor who worked at a Midwest City clinic who allegedly caused the overdose deaths of at least five patients. Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter on Friday announced charges against Dr. Regan Nichols, an osteopathic physician. She's been charged in Oklahoma County District Court with five counts of second-degree murder.

AG Hunter says in the months they died, the victims were prescribed more than 1,800 opioid pills. He says three of the five were prescribed a deadly three-drug combination of a narcotic opioid pain reliever, an anti-anxiety drug and a muscle relaxer. All of the prescriptions were signed by Nichols.
