Oklahoma politics are heating up following Senator Markwayne Mullin's nomination to serve as Secretary of Homeland Security. Republican Congressman Kevin Hern is expected to announce he is entering the race to fill the Senate seat. Representative Stephanie Bice had earlier indicated she might be considering a run as well. Strategists say the race could become the most expensive Senate race in Oklahoma history. Governor Kevin Stitt is also reportedly traveling to Washington as discussions continue over the appointment.
