Oklahoma Senator Markwayne Mullin Named DHS Secretary

President Trump has fired Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. In a post on Truth Social, Trump said Oklahoma Senator Markwayne Mullin will replace her.

Trump said, "I am pleased to announce that the highly respected Senator from the Great State of Oklahoma, Markwayne Mullin will become the United States Secretary of Homeland Security, effective March 31."

Trump said Noem has served the U.S well and will become Special Envoy for The Shield of the Americas, a new initiative in the Western Hemisphere, that's set to be announced on Saturday. The change will be effective at the end of the month.
