Oklahoma Turnpike Authority Names New Turnpike Toby Keith Expressway

The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority today voted to name the new east-west connector turnpike in the Norman area the Toby Keith Expressway. State Senator Lisa Standridge of Norman calls it a fitting tribute. Standridge says naming the Turnpike in Keith's honor is a small tribute, compared to the enormous legacy he leaves behind.

Keith died two years ago after a battle with stomach cancer. During today's OTA meeting, everyone in the room hoisted a red solo cup in his honor. Toby Keith's family was in attendance.
