Anyone presenting budget information to the Legislature on behalf of a state agency, might one day have to do so under oath.
It's an idea run by Republican State Senator Darrell Weaver, of Moore.
"Obviously, when he go into a meeting and someone tells you something, ... I was an agency director for over nine years and I always thought were under oath, quite frankly, when I testified. I just think if you don't have the answer, go find it," he told KTOK.
Weaver points to recent financial discrepancies at the state Health Department as an example of why such a measure might be needed.
Weaver is former director of the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Control.
