Governor Mary Fallin has signed a bill that State Senator Eddie Fields of Wynona says modernizes Oklahoma Lottery purchases. His bill allows debit card purchases of lottery tickets at lottery retailers. Credit card sales are still not allowed. Fields says it's something that lottery players have wanted for years. "The Legislature has made recent improvements to the lottery for the sake of our schools, and we need to continue to do that as we look to maximize limited government resources," Fields said.
