The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety announced Thursday that highway patrol troopers are no longer under a mileage restriction, effective immediately. The 100-mile restriction was put in place in December to make up for a budget cut. Highway Patrol Chief Ricky Adams says the new state budget will allow OHP to resume normal patrol duties and better serve communities across Oklahoma.
