State House Speaker Charles McCall of Atoka says the House will roll out a teacher pay raise plan next week that will phase-in a $6,000 pay raise over a three year period. He says the '1-2-3' plan will provide a $1,000 pay raise the first year, a $2,000 pay raise the second year and a $3,000 pay raise the third year. "We don't think a plan that is not phased in over a period of time is achievable given the fiscal situation the state is experiencing," he said Thursday. He said only one plan will move forward in the House. There are six bills under consideration in the Senate.
