Gov. Stitt Restores Health Care Power Of Attorney In Oklahoma

Power of attorney for health care is restored in Oklahoma. Governor Kevin Stitt signed the Oklahoma Health Care Agent Act yesterday, which once again gives Oklahomans the right to appoint another person to make their health care decisions in the event they are incapacitated. The option to designate someone as their health care power of attorney was taken away when the Uniform Power of Attorney Act was implemented last November. The Health Care Agent Act went into effect immediately following the governor's approval.
