Governor Signs Oklahoma Heartbeat Act Into Law

Governor Stitt has signed the Oklahoma Heartbeat bill into law, banning abortions after a fetal heartbeat is detected. Effect immediately, anyone who performs an abortion in violation of the law or HELPS a woman get an abortion could be sued. Stitt posted on social media that he wants Oklahoma to be the most pro-life state in the country because he represents all four million Oklahomans who he says overwhelmingly want to protect the unborn. This comes after a Supreme Court leak revealed the appears poised to overturn Roe v Wade - leaving abortion laws up to the states.
