Oklahoma County voters will decide the fate of a new county jail. The Board of County Commissioners approved a resolution yesterday calling for a special election on the issue. Voters will decide on June 28th whether to use tax bonds to pay for a new Oklahoma County Jail and mental health facility. Supporters of the 300-million-dollar project say that a new jail will be less expensive to operate than the current detention center.
