Brush Fire Burns 200 Acres

A brush fire was reported in Garvin County on Friday. Officials say the fire burned 200 acres near Pernell before it was put out. Investigators believe the fire was started by a stressed power line, with high winds and dry conditions helping the blaze to grow. KOCO reports crews were able to contain the fire in about two hours, but firefighters stayed at the scene for an additional ten hours to ensure there weren't any hotspots.
