The mother of Oklahoma death row inmate Julius Jones is trying to get a meeting with Governor Kevin Stitt. Madeline Davis-Jones visited the Capitol along with members of the House Black Caucus yesterday to formally request a meeting. Davis-Jones wants the governor to spare her son's life. Julius Jones is set to be executed on Thursday for the 1999 murder of Edmond businessman Paul Howell, but the Pardon and Parole Board has recommended clemency for Jones.
