Appeals Court Denies Motion From Oklahoma Death Row Inmates

An appeals court is denying a motion from four Oklahoma death row inmates to delay their executions. The Tenth Circuit of Appeals declined to grant a stay of the executions until a ruling is made in a lawsuit challenging the legality of the state's lethal injection cocktail. The court said the stay was denied because the lawsuit is unlikely to succeed. Among the plaintiffs was Julius Jones, who is scheduled to be executed on Thursday.
