The Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office released the name of a deputy recovering in the hospital after authorities say he was shot seven times. Officials said Deputy Garey Knoles was shot while responding to a domestic violence call at a home near Austin Drive and Patterson Road Friday morning. The suspect in the shooting, identified as 27-year-old Braedon Chesser, was found dead later that day about 100 yards behind his home. Officials say the body of his estranged wife, 25-year-old Sarah Chesser, was found inside.
