The Sooner State's top education official is planning to run for governor. State Superintendent Joy Hofmeister is switching parties from Republican to Democrat to run for governor of Oklahoma in 2022. Hofmeister is a Tulsa native and has served as the Oklahoma Superintendent of Public Education since 2015.
