Oklahoma Lawmaker Proposes Lowering Age For Constitutional Carry

An Oklahoma lawmaker is calling for the state's age for constitutional, or permitless, carry to be lowered. KOCO reports that State Senator Nathan Dahm has filed a bill lowering the minimum age for constitutional carry of firearms to 18. Dahm says people should not have to wait until they are 21 to exercise their right to self-defense. The proposed bill has been filed for the 2022 Oklahoma legislative session.
