A child was rescued in Johnston County last week after falling in quicksand. Officials said the 12-year-old boy was on a fishing trip Wednesday when he got stuck along the Washita River. Tishomingo firefighters were able to free the boy after about an hour. He was treated by paramedics at the scene.
