Governor Announces New School Quarantine Policy

Governor Kevin Stitt is unveiling a new quarantine policy for Oklahoma schools. Under the governor's new policy, people who are exposed to COVID-19 while at school will not be required to isolate at home as long as everyone in the classroom wears a mask and practices social distancing. Oklahoma City Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Sean McDaniel issued a statement criticizing the new quarantine policy and noted that it does not appear to follow CDC guidelines.
