OU Moves Football Opener Up One Week

The University of Oklahoma's football season will start one week earlier than previously scheduled. The University announced on Saturday that the opening game against Missouri State will take place on August 29th instead of September Fifth. Athletics Director Joe Castiglione said moving the game up a week will allow for more flexibility with the school's non-conference schedule, and will help the team manage any variety of possible circumstances that may occur.
