The Oklahoma Education Association is urging state legislators to institute health and safety measures ahead of the upcoming school year. The OEA has released a list of demands, the first and foremost being a mask requirement. The association is also asking the state to provide schools with hand sanitizer, PPE, and cleaning supplies, along with protocols on when to close a campus. OEA President Alicia Priest said safety must be the first priority, or students and educators will die.
