Man Accused Of Shooting Potential Burglar Charged With 2nd-Degree Murder

A man accused of fatally shooting someone trying to break into his business last month is facing second-degree murder charges. Officials say Larue Bratcher fired three shots through a locked door to "scare off" 42-year-old Daniel Hardwick, but the bullets struck and killed him. Attorney Robert Robles tells KFOR that Bratcher's failure to open the door to see what was on the other side could be grounds for the charges. Bratcher was arrested the night the shooting happened for growing marijuana without a license.
