Oklahoma judge signs off on 85-million-dollar settlement with opioid maker

A drug maker is agreeing to pay 85-million-dollars for its role in the opioid crisis. Teva Pharmaceuticals settled a lawsuit with the state of Oklahoma today. Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter said the money will go towards the state's effort to fight the opioid epidemic. Teva has agreed not to promote opioids in the state. The company will also help law enforcement with opioid investigations. Hunter called the opioid epidemic in the state "devastating," but noted that the settlement will help the state face the crisis.
