Flooding causes major concerns in Tulsa area

Much of the state has experience flooding problems in some areas over the past few days. In Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum says his city is preparing for the worst as rain floods into Keystone Lake. Bynum remarked today that there are simply too many variables to predict how bad flooding will be as water is released from the Keystone Dam. He said the city will use a map of the worst flood in the city's history as a guide to determine what communities may be affected. People in low-lying areas are being urged to get their critical paperwork together and make a plan in case they're ordered to evacuate. The River Spirit Casino Resort in Tulsa closed down due to flood waters causing access problems. Bynum said police are already visiting some neighborhoods to encourage evacuations. He added that the city is getting strong support from the state and federal government.
