The Oklahoma State Election Board says voter turnout was higher Tuesday than for any other midterm election since at least 1986. There were a total of 1,185,185 votes cast for Governor in Tuesday's election, which translates into 56.09% of registered voters. The previous record was 50.08% in 2002.
