The Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management has activated its Emergency Operations Center due to high winds causing critical fire danger across the state. A Red Flag Warning and High Wind Warning have been issued for a large portion of Oklahoma, with gusts potentially reaching 65 miles per hour. Residents are urged to avoid starting fires and secure outdoor items due to the high winds. Governor Kevin Stitt is closely monitoring the situation and emergency crews are prepared to support evacuations if needed. Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Forestry teams, and the Oklahoma National Guard are activated to assist fire crews in managing the wildfires.
