A lawsuit has been filed over the new medical marijuana rules adopted by the State Board of Health. The group Green the Vote filed a lawsuit Friday in Oklahoma County District Court. According to a news release, the lawsuit was filed against the state of Oklahoma, Governor Mary Fallin, the Oklahoma State Department of Health and five members of the Health Board.
"The lawsuit filed today is our endeavor to undo the wrongful acts of the Oklahoma Department of Health in adopting amendments to the regulations implementing State Initiative 788," the release states. "It is our hope that this lawsuit will quickly resolve the improper regulations and allow Oklahoma citizens to exercise their rights to manage their own health care."
