OHP Bomb Dog Passes Away

A sad day for the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Its longest working bomb dog has died, just before his official retirement. Nitro was a nearly 12-year-old black German Shepherd. His handler for his entire career was LT. Mike Norman. The highway patrol says Nitro had a very busy and colorful career for ten years with nearly 1,000 calls for service and thousands of training searches to keep him sharp. The OHP says Nitro will be missed and will never be forgotten.
