School Consolidations

Oklahoma City Public School Superintendent Aurora Lora is recommending the consolidation of several schools across the district, because of continued budget challenges and low enrollment. The five schools to be considered for consolidation are Edgemere Elementary, FD Moon Academy, Gatewood Elementary, Green Pastures Elementary and Johnson Elementary. Lora also plans to transition Northeast Academy into a neighborhood middle school. She says informational meetings will be held to explain the consolidations and gather input from the public.
