Senate Votes To Punish Shortey

The State Senate voted 43-0 on Wednesday to impose punishment on Republican Senator Ralph Shortey of Oklahoma City for 'disorderly behavior'. The resolution was introduced by Senator Anthony Sykes of Moore. "Members this is a very serious issue before this house," he said. "The resolution speaks for itself".

The resolution suspends all of Shortey's Senate privileges.

KTOK News has received confirmation via e-mail from Moore Police Sgt. Jeremy Lewis that police will recommend prostitution-related charges be filed against Senator Shortey, who was allegedly found in a motel room with a teenage boy.
