Counterfeit Bills Passed In Sallisaw

Sallisaw police say they have received multiple reports over the past two weeks of counterfeit currency being passed at local businesses and to local residents. Three people have been arrested. Police say Chris Jackson and Stevie Jones were in possession of a large amount of counterfeit currency when they were taken into custody. Officers then went to a Sallisaw residence and seized printers, laptops, counterfeit bills and drug paraphernalia. A third person, Judith Jackson, who lives at the residence, was also arrested. Police want to hear from any residents or business owners in the area who may have recently received any counterfeit currency and have not already reported it to police. (photo provided)
