China Warns Of U.S. Trade War Response

China says it will make a justified response if the U.S. starts a trade war.  Foreign Minister Wang Yi warned that a trade war between the U.S. and China would only harm all sides.  President Donald Trump is expected to put tariffs on imported aluminum and steel soon.  The move is a reaction to cheap imports, especially from China, that Trump says undermine U.S. industry and jobs.  China's foreign minister said trade wars were not the correct way to resolve problems between the U.S. and China, especially given today's globalization.

The tariffs are also facing growing opposition from U.S. business officials and congressional Republicans.
