With the Pumpkin Spice Latte making its annual comeback at Starbucks today (put it in my face now), fall will be here in just a few weeks. Pinterest has just come out with their Fall 2024 Trend Report to tell us what will be big in fashion, beauty, design, hobbies and food.

• People are looking to create “cozy fall vibes,” with searches for the term up 90%.

• This includes green home decor, as searches for it have increased by 2,670% since last year, and searches for “sage and blue color palette” have gone up 570%.

• Japanese style is also influencing decor trends, including Japanese vintage art. Searches for “zen house” are up 405% and “Japanese living room design” searches have increased by 135%.

• Japanese culture is also big in fashion, with searches for “Japan fall fashion” growing by 140%.

• Nature-inspired patterns are expected to be big, like “leopard print jeans” (searches up 2990%), and “camouflage outfits” (up 2295%), along with “puff skirts” (up 1015%) and “puffer jacket outfit aesthetic (up 70%).

• When it comes to beauty trends, intricate “Japanese-inspired nail art” (up 600%) will be popular, as will “more-is-more” makeup, like “soft baddie makeup” (up 700%), and “fox hair color” (up 1530%) and “cherry blonde” (up 6300%). Bangs are back in style, too, especially “Japanese side bangs” (up 1645%).

• As for what everyone will be eating and drinking, earthy ingredients are going to be big, including “okra water” (searches up 470%), “ginger spice” (up 240%) and pistachio butter (up 240%).

• People will be keeping themselves busy with crafty hobbies, as searches for “small bead bracelet ideas” are up 2,000%, and searches for “bag making” are up 190%.

• Club activities are expected to be popular, with searches for “ book clubs” up 180%, “cookbook club” searches have grown by 130% and “run club” searches have increased 700%.
