I've been looking at the numbers and here is what I see. Mind you I look at statistics all the time and although I am not an expert; I can see pattern especially when it comes to our local population.
Here are the results from the election according to the OK State Election Board:
FOR UNITED STATES REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT 05
ABSENTEE MAIL EARLY VOTING ELECTION DAY TOTAL
STEVE RUSSELL (REP) 10,671 7,663 99,391 117,725 49.31%
KENDRA HORN (DEM) 12,081 10,094 98,838 121,013 50.69%
Total 22,752 17,757 198,229 238,738
Horn dominated absentee and early voting. Russell lead in election day votes. Diving deeper I see that of the absentee and early votes cast most came from SW and inner city OKC. Russell did better in the suburbs like Edmond. Horn was able to motivate more non-regular voters to vote early, and vote for her. Listen later today for more of my analysis.
