State health officials are confirming the first case of monkeypox in Oklahoma. The probable case was reported last week, after a central Oklahoma resident who returned from a country where cases of the disease have been confirmed became ill. The State Department of Health today revealed the case of monkeypox is now confirmed, and the infected person remains in quarantine.
