A convicted killer is paroled. Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt has signed off on the patrol of former Tulsa police officer Jimmie Dean Stohler. The now-69-year-old Stohler was convicted of first-degree murder and solicitation of murder in the 1982 crossbow killing of 30-year-old Michele Powers outside her Tulsa apartment. The Pardon and Parole Board recommended clemency for Stohler last month.
