The Oklahoma State Senate passed six bills yesterday aimed at restricting abortion. Among them is a bill modeled after the "Heartbeat Act" passed in Texas that allows private citizens to file lawsuits against anyone they accuse of "aiding and abetting" an abortion after six weeks. The GOP majority also approved a bill that would ban abortions more than thirty days after a woman's last menstrual period. The bills are now headed to the Oklahoma House.
