Oklahoma U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe is going to retire from the U.S. Senate effective January 3rd of next year. The 87-year-old Inhofe says it's time for him and his wife Kay to spend time together. Inhofe is a former mayor of Tulsa. He was elected to the U.S. House in 1986 and then to the Senate in 1994. He was scheduled to appear in-person in Oklahoma City, but has a mild case of COVID-19 so he addressed reporters via a speakerphone placed on a podium.
