Oklahoma Air National Guardsman who are not vaccinated against COVID-19 will not be able to participate in future drills. Brigadier General Thomas Mancino made the announcement one day after a federal judge denied a lawsuit from the State of Oklahoma to stop the vaccine mandate for the National Guard. Mancino said only unvaccinated members of the Air National Guard are affected by the decision, since the deadline for Army National Guard soldiers to get the shot is not until next summer. Airmen who have not gotten the vaccine can still take part in drills if they have been given a medical or religious exemption.
